Quick answers to the questions we hear most often from VICIdial teams evaluating Digital Engines.
Digital Engines is a modular platform that connects to your VICIdial environment to automate operational workflows—
from dialer tuning and rule-driven controls to agent-facing scripting and actions. Start with a Core, then add
optional upgrades, modules, and support as you scale.
No. VICIdial remains your dialer. Digital Engines sits alongside it—adding automation, controls, and a cleaner workflow layer
without changing how your agents log in, call, and disposition.
You can run BYOD (connect Digital Engines to your existing VICIdial infrastructure) or choose a Hosted tier.
Hosted Standard can scale capacity by adding Telephony Nodes as your team grows.
Core is the base platform subscription for your dialer/cluster connection. It covers the foundational integration layer and
the portal features needed to manage your environment, configurations, and account setup.
No. On the Pricing page, the agent count is used to estimate monthly usage for ScriptEngine and/or DialerControl.
Those upgrades are usage-based and are billed after the month closes (based on your configured billing process).
Your upfront total includes Core, nodes (if applicable), modules, support, and setup.
Setup covers onboarding, initial configuration, connectivity validation, and aligning the platform to your dialer workflows.
Hosted Starter uses the Starter setup fee; BYOD and Hosted Standard use the Standard setup fee.
At higher scale, small configuration issues become expensive quickly. Requiring at least Basic support above 100 agents ensures
you have the right operational coverage for tuning, stability, and change management.
Most teams connect via private networking (VPN, private link, or restricted IP access) so automation traffic stays off the public internet.
During onboarding we’ll validate connectivity and define the safest, simplest path for your environment.
The fastest onboarding happens when we know: your dialer type (BYOD or Hosted), approximate agent count, number of dialers/clusters,
and the top 2–3 workflows you want to automate first (dial-rate tuning, scripts/actions, reporting, etc.).
If you’re not sure which Core tier fits, start with Hosted Starter for small teams or BYOD if you already run VICIdial.
We can right-size the plan during onboarding.
