FAQ

Quick answers for teams evaluating the dialer-first platform.

If you already know you want Hosted Starter or Hosted Standard, the builder is the faster path. The FAQ is here for the packaging, rollout, and setup questions that come up first.

The public site is dialer-first. Hosted Starter is the default package, Hosted Standard is the scale-up hosted package, BYOD is available through contact, and the main self-serve add-ons are Script Engine, Dialer Control Engine, the Dialer Management Tools bundle, observability, messaging, and Hybrid AI.

Hosted Starter is the default public package. It is the simplest hosted launch point and already includes the Reporting Pack plus built-in platform tools like DNC management, lead loading, lead scrubbing, and list QA.

Hosted Starter with 0 additional dialers stays Hosted Starter. Starter plus 1 additional dialer stays Starter plus the add-on. Starter plus 2 additional dialers becomes Hosted Standard. Starter plus more than 2 becomes Hosted Standard plus the remaining additional dialers.

They are flat monthly packages for unlimited supported users. Script Engine is merchandised at USD 499.00 / month and Dialer Control Engine is merchandised at USD 499.00 / month.

It is the discounted bundle for Script Engine plus Dialer Control Engine. It is currently merchandised at USD 799.00 / month.

Reporting Pack is included. Storage is handled during onboarding as capacity planning instead of being sold as a long list of separate public storage packages. Hosted plans also include built-in operational utilities like DNC management, lead loading, lead scrubbing, and list QA.

Observability is sold as its own promoted module, starting at USD 149.00 / month, with dedicated tiers available for larger footprints.

Messaging Platform is priced at $20 / user / month and leads with the mobile story: Android app access, notifications and presence, inline realtime translation, and audio, media, and file workflows.

Hybrid AI is priced at USD 499.00 / month + DE AI tokens. It detects what the customer is saying and surfaces the best responses to the agent, with DE AI token usage layered on top.

Yes. The Script Engine story now includes generating script audio without paying a voice actor or building a recording booth, adjusting scripts in realtime instead of waiting weeks on vendors, and using customizable personas.

No. VICIdial remains your dialer. Digital Engines sits alongside it to add hosted infrastructure, operational controls, automation, reporting, observability, and AI-assisted workflows.

No. Bringing your own dialer is possible, but it routes through contact because customer environments vary too much for a clean self-serve automation path.

Typical setup lead time is about 1 week and is often faster. Assisted setups can take longer.

Custom AI voice and sound generation plus AI Transcription + QA are still sales-led. Fully AI, Financial Suite, and Workforce or payroll tracking stay visible as coming-soon items and route into contact or waitlist flow instead of checkout.

DE AI tokens are prepaid credits used for transcription, QA, voice, and sound workloads. Token packs are sold upfront, and the current AI Transcription + QA starting point is USD 299.00 / month + DE AI tokens.

We need your company name, contact details, approximate agent count, number of dialers, whether you prefer hosted or BYOD, and the first operational problems you want solved. The public contact form captures that in one pass.

Yes. The platform is used by mission-driven organizations that need predictable software and dialer operations. We provide technology; your organization remains responsible for campaign-finance, charitable solicitation, and other laws that apply to your programs. See our Terms of Service for the full compliance framework.

You are. Digital Engines supplies software and tools (including operational helpers like DNC management where included in your plan), but you are responsible for lawful lead sourcing, consent, calling rules, and how campaigns are run. Read the Terms of Service section on customer compliance.

Most new customers can answer these three questions immediately.
1
Hosted or BYOD?
Choose Hosted Starter by default unless you already run the VICIdial infrastructure you need to keep.
2
How many dialers?
That determines whether Starter is enough or whether you should roll into Hosted Standard.
3
Which engine matters first?
For many teams, that answer is Script Engine, Dialer Control Engine, or the discounted bundle.
